Iola Public Library to Entertain Students

Lindsey Temaat, Managing Editor

The Iola Public Library (218 E. Madison Ave.) is hosting it’s first ever “College Night After Hours” tonight from 8p.m.-10p.m. to entertain Allen Community College students and inform them of the library’s valuable resources. According to the Library Director, Roger Carswell, while this is the first time the library has done something like this, it may become an annual event if it goes over well.

“We wanted a way to better engage college students. We want to show them that we are here, and what we have to offer that might help them,” said Carswell.

The event tonight will include refreshments, games, and of course, a tour of the library and some of the collections that they have. If you’d like to sign up for a library card, be sure to bring your ID and proof of address.
