Photo Gallery: Students Inducted into PTK Honor Society

Allen Community College students on the Iola Campus were inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Tau Eta Chapter on Wednesday, Nov. 14 in the college theater. In addition to words from the acting chapter president, Imani Lemon and officers Raul Sanchez and Austin Hendrix, Allen Community College President John Masterson offered a speech about the key values of the organization and the need for leadership and inclusion among young people today. Officers Bailey Sprague, Karen Perez, Raul Sanchez and Marianna Duenes-Gomez were honored at the ceremony. Inductees recieved official certificates stating their membership, and participated in the tradition of dripping wax from candles onto the Tau Eta board to symbolize unity with standing members of the chapter at Allen. The college administration and community members attended the ceremony, including PTK advisers Tosca Harris and Chandi Leis.
Allen’s Burlingame Campus held it’s induction ceremony on Sunday, Oct. 28. Inductees were recognized at the ceremony, as well as Shiloah Hutsen and Trenton Ming, the All-Kansas Acedemic Team winners.
