Do you enjoy being in the moment and having to think on the spot? If yes, then the Improv Club just might be for you. The Improv Club is just one of the many clubs that Allen Community College offers. This reporter spoke with Freshman Kylie Price on her thoughts about the improv.
Kylie Price joined the Improv club in the fall 2024 semester. When asked why she joined, Kylie’s response was that she wanted to try something new and had wanted to try comedy. Price sincerely enjoyed her time in improv; it gave her a chance to be her true comedic self.
When asked what she gained from being a part of improv, Kylie said that she has met a lot of amazing people, and it has given her a chance to form many friendships. Taking improv also made Kylie more comfortable with performing in front of people and on stage.
“Something about performing comedy makes you feel at ease,” said Kylie Price.
The Improv group is pushing to start a student senate within the group, and Kylie’s role is the secretary. While being secretary, Price is in charge of taking attendance, recording the boundaries of everyone in the group, and partaking in activities.
