Allen Community College is hosting a week long game of Assassin Tag for students to participate in.
All this week, Sept. 18 – 22, there will be students on campus lurking around corners waiting for their target to appear so they can tag them. Yet, will these students get tagged themselves before they can tag their target?
On Monday, the students who signed up for Assassin Tag were given a bracelet with their name and their target’s name. The rules of the game are simple: find the target and tag them, but only in certain areas of the school. The areas in which students are allowed to be tagged or tag someone in are the hallways, student center, and parking lot. This makes for a lot of safe space for potential targets.
After talking to a few of the students, the reviews were mixed on whether or not they are enjoying the game so far.
“It is fun to always be aware and make sure that you don’t get caught”, said Byrone Okes, a sophomore at Allen.
Another feeling that has been expressed are the rules. Many students stated that they just wanted to play tag and not have the set in stone rules of not being able to tag someone in certain areas of the school.
Good luck to all of those playing.
