Born in Chicago, Illinois, sophomore Adesuwa Osagiede was raised in Dallas, Texas and still resides there with her parents, one brother, and a sister. She comes from the heat and sunshine and is still acclimating to this Kansas weather.

Ade, as she’s known to her friends, comes to Allen Community College on a track scholarship and participates in the 60-meter, 100-meter, and 200-meter races, as well as the long jump. This is her second semester as part of the Allen Flame staff, where she is health editor, and she also enjoys acting in plays, reading and photography.

She majors in broadcast journalism with an ultimate goal to be on television or a public relations representative. But for now she works in the school cafeteria to earn extra money for school.

“People think I’m uptight and stuck up, but once you get to know me I’m really sweet and like to laugh,” Ade said.
