Rachael Kothe, Opinion Editor
Rachael Kothe is a freshman at Allen Community College who decided to join newspaper because she enjoys communications and enjoys writing in her free time.
Kothe, 24, is from Topeka and attended Topeka West High School. In high school she was involved in TV and video productions, mainly working on the nightly school news. This sparked her interest in newspaper at Allen and is essentially why she joined the class.
Kothe hopes to become a social media director where she will go to various companies and assist them with their social media presence on websites such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. She has one brother who is 27 years old and one sister who is a senior in high school. Kothe came to Allen to get her general education classes out of the way while participating in other activities such as newspaper.
Kothe also hopes to start a gay-straight alliance at Allen where she hopes to bring people of all types in the school and community together in a safe space. In her free time Kothe enjoys writing fan fiction.
