The basketball team is on a path for success.

Allen Community College’s men had high hopes for the season. They’ve won and loss some important games this year; however, they are expecting much more for the second leg of their season.

Jah-Kobe Womack, guard for the Red Devils, is one of the many weapons the team has this year. “The season is going well,” he said. “Of course we’re going to have ups and down, but that’s what makes a stronger team.”

A strong team they are. They’ve accomplished great things, including beating rival Neosho Community College, which was ranked No. 13 in the nation, before Christmas break.

Although they have had great success, they have also had some very difficult competition.

“Every team in this conference is tough, so that is a big challenge,” Womack noted. “We don’t really have a break in any game we play for the rest of the season.”

Womack is one of the standout athletes on this year’s basketball team. Although he is undecided on where he wants to attend after Allen, he is considering Nebraska-Omaha, Kentucky Weselyn, Lincoln University, and Tennessee state, and is looking forward to the next level of sports and education.

“I am excited on what the future holds,” he said
