Volunteers Bond Over Lip Sync Challenge Video

Thrive Allen County

Lindsey Temaat, Managing Editor

Allen Community College students collaborated with Thrive Allen County, K-State students, missionaries, and La Harpe residents last Friday, Oct. 19 to create a Lip Sync Challenge video as a way to get to know each other before volunteering at the Oct. 20 Community Clean-Up Day. The video was filmed inside Allen’s Iola Campus, and even features President John Masterson rocking out to Justin Timberlake.

Deputy Director of Community Engagement at Thrive Allen County, Damaris Kunkler organized the volunteer mixer and Clean-Up Day as a part of a grant Thrive received from the Kansas Health Foundation.  Students who are interested in volunteering for Thrive Allen County can contact Kunkler at [email protected].
