The 2019 Allen Community College volleyball team ended its season with an overall 19-13 record. The women brought a hard working attitude to each of their 32 games and conquered on the court. The team ended with a 10.96 kills per set and 9.87 assists per set.

The team got a region win at Hesston College then travelled home for a game against rivals Neosho Panthers, which also ended in a win for Allen 3-1.

The volleyball team started working for this season with tough pre-season exercises to boost stamina and agility. Team members spent their time getting to know one another through games, and swimming pool exercises. The coaches strive to not only train athletes, but build stronger women.

The student body showed its support cheering the ladies on at home games, and going all out for each theme night. The stands were crowded and full of cheers.

“The student section was very loud and powered up about the girls playing together,” Allison Smith said.
